A recent patent filing by Apple could lead many to believe that the Apple iPhone could possibly be equipped with a front facing video camera along with motion software states a report on apcmag.

There is the possibility of motion based gestures which would enable the Apple iPhone user to navigate the handset intuitively rather than needing to look at the device.

The front facing video camera could well be on the next gen Apple iPhone and would enable video chat along with video orientated gaming on the Apple iPhone, and there is some speculation that it could well be included in the next iPhone release.
