As part of the HTC Android line up for this year they are to release the HTC Hero, and now codeandroid seems to have managed to get hold of some images of the HTC Hero out in the wild.

What is noticeable with these first in the wild shots is that it looks as if the HTC Hero sports a 3.5mm headphone jack which will be a first for HTC with an Android based handset.

Also there is a lack of any trackball, so we presume the HTC Hero will incorporate some touch sensitive location below its screen and would therefore appear the touch screen is the only form of navigating the HTC Hero.
