Sony Ericsson W995a gains FCC approval for US and Canada

Under: Sony Ericsson Date: May 5th, 2009

The FCC has now passed the Sony Ericsson W995a for the United States according to a post over at engadget mobile.

Basically the Sony Ericsson W995a is simply a Sony Ericsson W995 as the “a” simply denotes that the handset is destined for the USA.

Therefore the Sony Ericsson W995a will sport the same features as the W995 but reformed to support quad-band EDGE and WCDMA bands 850 and 1900MHz for Canada and the US. No confirmation on which US and Canadian carriers will gain the Sony Ericsson W995a as yet though.
