Now that is an interesting thought as noticed by the Crave, is there any room for a media player in the world of the smartphone?

Not too long ago the mobile phone and MP3 player existed side by side, and then Sony Ericsson unveiled their Sony Ericsson W800i Walkman which was the 1st mobile handset to feature the Walkman branding, and has thus changed the need to carry a media player.

Today there are a great deal of smartphones that can also act as a medial player, they can even act as game players. Which basically means if the dedicated media player is to survive they need to be improved with new and exciting innovation, so simply fade away in the face of the smartphone.

So will smartphones dominate media players? I believe the answer is yes.
