A report on gearlog informs us that the Sonim XP3.20 toughphone may well be receiving a firm release date for the United States for this summer.

Apparently the tweaked US version of the Sonim XP3 toughphone will sport GSM 850MHz for North America, and will come in a crush and water resistant box, presumably to keep your sandwiches in after.

The Sonim XP3.20 meets with the mega rugged IP67 standard rather than the IP57seal that is usual in these rugged mobile phones, and there is a rumour that the Sonim XP3.20 may be available in an unlocked version too.
