Water damaged mobile phones have always been a problem when it comes to warranty, and Apple have mostly flat out denied a warranty service or replacement for water damaged Apple iPhones.

Well that has now changed according to a post on Intomobile, as Apple relaxed their warranty replacement guidelines and will now replace all iPhone be it first generation or second generation, and 4GB, 8GB and 16GB for a flat fee of $199.

The replacement will be a refurbished model though but then again haing a replacement refurbished Apple iPhone is better than having a non functioning iPhone brick isn’t it.
