BlackBerry Storm OS 4.7.0.141 gets shelved by Verizon

Under: BlackBerry, Phone Software
Date: May 12th, 2009

Are you a BlackBerry Storm owner still waiting patiently for BlackBerry OS 4.7.0.141? Well it appears the BGR is reporting that you’ll have a bit longer to wait for OS 4.7.0.141.

Word is OS 4.7.0.141 has failed Verizon Wireless’s testing and thus been held back for the foreseeable future, and it is quite possible that Research In Motion may simple dump 4.7.0.141 altogether and go straight for OS 5.0 for the BlackBerry Storm.

So it’s simply a matter of wait, be patient, and see what happens further down the OS release line, although no doubt this announcement will probably be followed soon after by a leaked unofficial OS 4.7.0.141 as is usually the case.

Amazing – yet more waiting. I can’t believe this was meant to compete with the iPhone. It is a complete joke – about as smooth as a cobbled street… and as for the applications you can download, they don’t even compare to the iPhone. My fault for rushing to get it I guess!
