Nokia to Retake Mobile Market with Cheap Smartphones?

The biggest name in the mobile arena, Nokia, is planning to take back some of the mobile market by pushing out cheaper smartphones in a bid to reach a wider range of customer and grab back some market share according to unwiredview.

Recently Nokia’s smartphone offerings have been somewhat overshadowed by the licks of the Apple iPhone, the Android packing T-Mobile G1, the HTC Touch Pro and the BlackBerry Storm. lli-Pekka Kallasvuo, Nokia’s CEO has said…Nokia “intends to expand by offering smartphones at lower prices to reach more consumers.”

Nokia has already seen how quickly cheap smartphone can fly with their E71 and Nokia 5800 XpressMusic. But the thing is, how will Nokia approach the touch screen handsets to make them cheaper to compete with the iPhone, G1, Touch Pro and BlackBerry Storm?
