Verizon Wireless, in a bid to deter spammers on their network has filed a lawsuit against Money Warehouse, Inc of Pennsylvania along with other spammers, alleging these spammers have send at least 800,000 spam messages to Verizon Wireless employees and customers promoting mortgage products since Feb 09 states an article on Intomobile.

Apparently the lawsuit states these messages where sent via auto-dialler to random numbers and that this is in violation of the Federal Telephone Consumer Protection Act.

This is not the first time Verizon Wireless has issued lawsuits against wireless spammers, pretexters and telemarketers as they have brought about 20 lawsuits since 2004.
