Well, apparently BT and 3UK have a campaign running to get the Mobile Termination Rate lowered to a more reasonable rate.

The campaign is called Terminate The Rate, which the MTR currently sits at around 4.7p or more for every minute of a call, which adds up to millions of pounds for consumers in the UK every year.

3UK and BT believe the MTR is excessive and distorts competition and thus want Ofcom to lower the rate to reflect actual costs. If you are of the same opinion and would like to support the campaign you can sign the online petition by following the link.
