The latest rumour concerning the Palm Pre smartphone comes via palmgoon, and is that Sprint is dropping the mail in rebate on the Palm Pre.
People don’t really like the hassle of the mail in rebate, and no doubt many will opt for getting their Palm Pre via Best Buy or RadioShack, but now apparently Sprint is thinking about doing away with the mail in and going with an instant rebate.
Although Sprint store apparently have already been stocked with the Palm Pre documentation that do confirm a mail in rebate on the Pre, so we will have to wait and see if this pans out or not.
