Apple has now updates iTunes to iTunes 8.2 as it prepares for the new iPhone firmware, iPhone OS 3.0, reports Cnet.

The new iTunes 8.2 for Windows and Mac is now prepared for the Apple iPhone OS 3.0 upgrade and had pushed out the changes made to the pre-release editions of iTunes which have been available to developers.

Furthermore, Apple has also updates QuickTime video player for Windows and Mac and the update incorporates patches for holes which may be exploited to run code by malicious LPS, PSD and a few movie files, and also includes some security fixes.
