BenQ has plans to release a smartphone into the mobile arena sometime in 2010 and said smartphone will be on the Google Android platform states an article on Yahoo! Tech.

There is also mention of an Android based netbook coming from BenQ at the same time. So it would seem that BenQ is the latest to jump onto the Android locomotive.

BenQ had previously stated they had no plans to launch any handsets in 2009, and they are sticking to that, so the next handset from BenQ will be an Android smartphone, although there are no further details on specs, pricing or availability.
