Opera Mobile has now officially been given a boost to version 9.7 reports engadget mobile, and the big thing with Opera Mobile 9.7 is that it includes Opera Turbo technology.
Opera Turbo offloads pages to Opera’s servers where they are then compressed into small fractions of the original page size before being transmitted to your mobile phone.
You can view a demonstration of Opera Turbo in action here, and if all goes as stated then Opera Turbo should make a considerable difference in end user browsing. Furthermore, Opera Mobile 9.7 upgrades to Presto 2.2 rendering engine and apparently offers up to a 25% boost in rendering speed.
