I am currently downloading OS 3.0, it takes a full 20 minutes to download so be patient. Good briefing before hand (accepting the t’s&c’s) about whats new. Will post more soon!

Downloaded and spotlight and cut and paste are great… But I have NO push notification icon. Did apple decide to pull it last minute????

Spent 20 minutes to download and waited for it to sync then nothing happened.follows instructions to the last letter.unsure what I have or haven’t done?

What a let down… thought it would have the push function as described and the voice control… gutted. Waste of time no video or anything. Apple – CON

LISTENN!!! VOICE CONTROL AND VIDEO IS ON THE IPHONE 3G S, NOT THE NEW OS 3.0 SOFTWARE. YOU NEED THE IPHONE 3G S’S NEW CAMERA TO MAKE IT WORK.

YOU CAN ACCESS THE PUSH NOTIFICATION BY GOING INTO MAIL I THINK, IT IS UNDER ANOTHER CATEGORY THOUGH, HAD TO DO IT FOR MOBILE ME. !!!

lol at least know what your downloading, god.

Download took about 20 minutes. Everything O.K until the re-boot. Aftergoing back into iTunes the authorising server was “TEMPORARILY UNAVAILABLE”. Try as I might for the next 3 hours, I could not get access to the server. Possibly an server overload, don’t know but I will try again today (18 June 09). Til then it is version 2 or nothing.

Patience is the key (or so I am told)

Big P.S to my last .. When I bought my iPhone 3G (7 months ago I complained (in writing) to Apple about the lack of voice activated contacts which did not work with my new (and not so cheap) in-car visor bluetooth (where-as my old but very reliable RAZR did brilliantly) .. Obviously the NABOBS at Apple must have thought about it and decided we can make money from this one .. Hence you have to BUY the new iPhone 3G S to have this facility .. Perhaps it was to much to ask just for a software upgrade .. So my bluetooth remains redundant .. Thanks but no thanks .. Looks llike it’s back to good ole Motorola .. at least in the car

Can’t seem to find the upgrade on itunes (v8.2). It keeps telling me that my OS is update (I’ve got 2.2.1) and to check back for update on the 20th of June.

Is anyone having the same problems?
