Steve Jobs says One Million iPhone 3GS’s Sold

Under: Apple iPhone
Date: June 22nd, 2009

More than 1 million iPhone 3GS smartphones have been sold since the new model hit the stores on Friday, Apple announced Monday. 6 million people have already downloaded the new iPhone OS update since it’s release five days ago.

Steve Jobs says customers are voting and the iPhone is winning, in his first comment since going on medical leave last year.

The 3.0 recent update for the iPhone and iPod Touch, has also found a wide audience from users awaiting new features since its launch last Wednesday. Despite fantastically strong sales at the weekend, Apple is facing new competition with a crowded smartphone market.

Apple watchers are also eagerly awaiting the return of Jobs, a recent report says that the Apple CEO received a liver transplant two months ago.
