Nokia N97 mini (lite) hopefully coming soon

The whispers hitting the net waves say that Nokia is planning a smaller version of the Nokia N97, the Nokia N97 mini (lite), this rumour comes via a moderator on the Vodafone forums.

Now this could be taken as a simple slip by the moderator, but if so then why has Vodafone gone to the trouble of removing any trace of reference to a Nokia N97 mini handset.

Another moderator posted a follow up message which reads…“Some information posted here yesterday has been removed. We are not in a position to discuss the N97 at this point. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and will update you in due course.”

So could there be a Nokia N97 mini lite on its way soon, what do you think?

I’m liking the look of the Nokia N97, been an iPhone user i am always checking what the competition is up to, but surely in these economic times we should just appreciate the normal version before a lite is even rumoured!

That doesnt make any sense ben. If anything, a lite version during these “economic times” would be good for people who still want the latest gadget but have been hit by the economic downturn (less hours etc…)
