Vodafone femtocells ('mini-mast') Device release July 1

According to an article over on mobiletoday, Vodafone is set to become the first mobile network to deliver femtocells (mini-mast) commercially.

The Vodafone device boosts 3G coverage in doors and is to be bundled into Vodafone tariffs. The Vodafone Access Gateway will be similar in size to that of a router and plugs into the home broadband line to improve 3G coverage.

The Vodafone Gateway will be offered free on certain £15 per month plans or can be purchased for £160 or from as little as £5 per month and will be available as of the 1st of July.
