It appears that stock of the iPhone 3GS with O2 has currently sold out according to an Intomobile report. On visiting an O2 store they were told the store had sold 250 iPhone 3GS units over the weekend, restocked the following Monday with a further 250 which sold out during the week.

On checking the O2 website it states O2 has temporarily run out of stock of the iPhone 3GS but most stock will be available by the end of this week. Which of course means O2 has sold all stock and thus is waiting on replenishment.

So one could say the iPhone 3GS is selling like hot cakes, but we don’t get a true picture of the total quantities sold by O2 across the country, which may come soon.
