Apparently marketoracle believes that the relationship between BlackBerry maker Research In Motion Ltd and iPhone 3GS maker Apple Inc is changing due to “pair trading” or “trading pairs.”
Trading pairs means you purchase one market whilst going short in another market in the same sector. Apparently RIM and Apple are battling it out as of right now in the mobile smartphone sector.
There is no clear way to see who will be the victor in this battle but it looks as if Apple may well have the upper hand due to their extremely successful Apple iTunes App Store.
