It appears that Apple may finally be approaching getting the iPhone into China as a report on appleinsider has it that Apple has applied for a Network Access License in China.
Apparently, Matt Mathison, an analyst for Wedge Partners states the application was filed on the 10th of July although he doesn’t say where this information comes from.
However, apparently the application doesn’t make mention of onboard WiFi, which could possibly mean that Apple has caved in over China’s demand that WiFi ability be removed from any iPhone in China
