Research In Motion has now gone all official with the BlackBerry Curve 8520 aka Gemini which was leaked back in May and looks to be an excellent entry level smartphone reports trusted reviews.

Spec wise the BlackBerry Curve 8520 offers up a 2.64 inch QVGA display along with a modest 2 megapixel camera, Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR, WiFi, video recording, 256MB memory expandable via microSDHC slot to 32GB, and battery delivering 4.5 hours talk time and up to 17 days standby time.

The BlackBerry Curve 8520 Gemini measures 109 x 30 x 13.9mm and weighs in at 106 grams but a couple of major omissions in the smartphone is the lack of 3G and GPS. The Curve 8520 goes on sale in August and for free on certain contracts.
