Canada’s Rogers Wireless and N-Gage Billing

Nokia have got Canada’s Rogers Wireless on board for carrier billing in the N-Gage.

What this means is N-Gage users can pay for games downloaded via their monthly phone bills, so as a result the cost of the game will be added to the top of what they already pay for their mobile service.

So no more credit cards when you need a game, you can buy it right away and pay at the end of the month along with your mobile phone bill. This is great news for Nokia, and it wouldn’t be surprising if Rogers enabled carrier billing for the Ovi store too. Let’s hope more carriers introduce this kind of billing for third-party app stores.
