There seems to be a problem with the new Nokia flagship handset the Nokia N97 in as much as there have been some complaints about straight line or scratches appearing on the camera lens, reports an article on fonearena.

It appears that this problem isn’t confined to any particular country of purchase or country of origin or even time of use, and apparently a forum user has now discovered the reason behind theses Nokia N97 lens issues.

The forum user, brkix dismantled the Nokia N97 and has found there is a piece of plastic with a square piece of metal which tells the handset when the lens cover is open and activates the camera app, this blue plastic is too close to the camera lens and is causing the scratching
