Apparently the HTC Hero is heading for Sprint as engadget mobile post an official support screen showing the HTC Hero in CDMA for Sprint.

Whether this will affect availability of the United Sates 3G version unlocked on any carrier isn’t clear but it wouldn’t surprise if the HTC Hero on Sprint gets locked down for a limited period.

Apparently there is a similar support page that announced the HTC Snap is going with Alltel, so there’s probably a Snap headed for Sprint and Verizon as well in the not too distant future.
