The rivalry between Apple and Palm continues, the Palm Pre has a slide out keyboard and super fast web browsing, also as Palm likes to point out the smartphone has the ability to link to iTunes, Apple’s very own music and media store.

Apple want to ensure that the iPhone is the only phone capable of doing that, and as a result have updated there software in an attempt to block the Pre’s access to the store.

Palm have retaliated by calling this move foul and are desperately trying to gather consumer electronics to its defence. Palm claim that Apple, are misusing the standards put in place to foster interoperability between computers and other devices using a USB connection.
