Samsung Omnia Icon smartphone: What’s hot, not and final word

Under: Samsung
Date: August 7th, 2009

The Samsung Omnia Icon is also known as the Samsing Omnia II and internationally as the Samsung Omnia i8000, and the guys over at pcworld have now given the Samsung Omnia Icon the hands-on treatment.

They say the Samsung Omnia Icon is smart and stylish, sleek and curved, with a mirrored cube button and packs a 3.7 inch AMOLED resistive touch screen which surpasses the smaller touch screen of the Nokia N97.

The Samsung TouchWiz user interface is one of the big selling points with the Samsung Omnia Icon and has received a huge revamp since its first appearance.

On the downside the widgets can be sluggish while the user interface isn’t as polished as the HTC TouchFLO 3D, and there is lag is certain menus. However on the upside the Samsung Omnia Icon has an excellent features list and for the most part the interface is intuitive.
