Apparently Vodafone Germany have teamed with Huawei to test LTE in Germany, both have signed a “memorandum of understanding” for joint testing to gauge the performance of Long Term Evolution (LTE) in the digital dividend band reports Huawei.

The LTE tests begin in summer in Germany and will not just demonstrate LTE ability to deliver broadband coverage to urban and rural areas but also to provide compatibility with such tech as Digital Radio and Digital TV using Huawei’s end to end solutions.

Shows yet another case where LTE is being victorious over WiMAX as a 4G solution doesn’t it, however the results should be interesting to see what data rates come from LTE.
