HTC has apparently made a patent application for a capacitive stylus with resistive accuracy. A magnetic head is used for the HTC stylus; this is able to obtain the same electrical response as a finger but has more precision.
Capacitive displays have been regarded as the easier to use tech for a mobile phone with touch screen but their finger friendliness doesn’t allow for much accuracy. We wouldn’t worry too much though as HTC have the answer.
HTC are looking to tackle the stylus-centric Asian market, looks like it will be one more creation bought to the market. The new patent would also have an original unmodified capacitive display.
