iPhone 3.0: New Facebook release will include new features
A new Facebook application for iPhone 3.0 has just been submitted to the Apple iTunes App Store by engineer Joe Hewitt reports an article over on Inside Facebook.
The word is this new Facebook for iPhone 3.0 will build upon several of Facebook’s social features such as the ability to craft albums, improve image tagging, add video and zoom into photos.
Apparently roughly 25 percent of all iPhone owners, that’s about 12 million monthly users use the present Facebook for iPhone application, and Facebook for iPhone 3.0 delivers a good way to view status updates, call contacts direct from the friends page, send RSVP’s to parties and such.

Any clue why once it’s downloaded it looks exactly like the old version of the app with limited functions?
