50-million Apple iPhones to be sold by 2011 according to report

Apple is said to be on track to reach a staggering record of selling more than 50 million iPhones a year by the September 2011 fiscal year.

That’s according to Bernstein Research analyst Toni Sacconaghi, this is an increase from the estimated 20 million in Fiscal 2009. Macdaily News comment ’sound like Toni found his missing iPhones’.

Apple are getting there due to the Smart phone market growth along with adding more and more carriers in existing countries and also offering the iPhone in China. Sacconaghi thinks that the company could increase to even bigger numbers if they address two of the markets they currently don’t address being pre-paid phones and non data phones.
