According to a post over on telecompaper, O2 Ireland has now launched a new mobile TV service they have named O2 TV whereby customers have the option to choose between the Sky Sports and News Pack and the O2 Lifestyle Pack.

In celebration of launching O2 TV, O2 is offering, for a promotional period only, a 30 day free trial to customers that sign up before the 9th of September, when said promotion ends, post-paid and pre-paid customers will be able to access the service by paying €1 for a 24 hour pass.

Other prices are a 30 day pass for O2 Lifestyle Pack for €5 and for Sky Sports and News Pack its €6 for a 30 day pass. The service works on 3G HSDPA mobile phones and includes Samsung, Nokia and Sony Ericsson handsets.
