Video: BlackBerry Storm 2 9550 SurePress Demo

Not too sure why the video of the BlackBerry Storm 2’s SurePress touch screen was pulled, but low and behold another has now popped up in its place, and this video goes into some serious detail concerning the peizo-electric tech that is behind the revamp of the SurePress screen.

The BlackBerry Storm 2 9550 Hardware video, courtesy of engadget mobile, shows that piezo-electric displays are capable of locating differing levels of pressure as opposed to just a simple “click.”

The video also goes on about the iPhone’s glass touch screen being limited to tap typing, so no doubts we’ll be hearing some rebuttal from iPhoners on that score. Still we have the video below for your viewing pleasure so hit it up and enjoy.

Wow, that was actually really well done! Love the sponge idea BTW. 😀

I only hope the lower buttons, capacitive touch or otherwise, are easy to hit and practical when making or ending calls. And OMG WiFi for CDMA FINALLY!
