India has now gained a Skype phone via Belkin which apparently promises to deliver cheap ISD call rates, although the VoIP phone would require WiFi for Skype to Skype calls reports techtree.

There are 2 Blekin Skype phone versions available, one a desktop and the other a wireless WiFi version. On the downside though if you are out of a WiFi area the Skype phone would be useless as it only supports Skype and thus your only option is VoIP calls.

The Belkin Skype desktop phone costs RS. 7300 while the Belkin Skype mobile phone commands a price tag of RS.9712, and Belkin is offering free 30 minutes of calls to any part of the globe.
