Patently waiting for the Palm Pre smartphone to arrive in the UK? Eager to get your mitts on Palm’s saving Pre? Palm and O2 UK have been somewhat tight-lipped concerning the arrival of the Palm Pre in the UK, but today we find out.

Apparently a tipster has informed palmwebosblog that O2 UK managers have now been given a release date for the Palm Pre by their head office and that release date is Friday the 30th of October.

Although this isn’t official there are a couple of things that lead it to be believable, such as the date coincides with previous Friday launched of big mobile phones, and of course that banner on O2 Germany giving the date as October.
