Motorola Sawgrass and Heron Android phones declined by AT&T

According to MKM Partners analyst Tero Kuittinen, AT&T Mobility have decided not to carry Motorola Android phones later this year as he argued that the devices were outdated.

The two Moto models were named Sawgrass (aimed at teenagers) and Heron (aimed at students and young professionals) both for AT&T, were prototyped using Windows Mobile. As the change from Windows to Android took so much development time AT&T decided that the devices were in fact to dated to carry.

Motorola were not available to comment and apparently AT&T declined to comment, as if this wasn’t enough it seems another knock to Motorola is possible as Verizon Wireless planned to offer two Moto devices for this year, but one has already been pushed into 2010. Source – fiercewireless.com
