The prospect of an armed hold up isn’t a nice thing to have to go through, especially when the robbers snatch you wallet, credit cards and pins, and horror of horrors your precious Apple iPhone.
But these things do happen unfortunately, as postgazette reports about a victim of such a crime who after going through the ordeal returned home and used their “Find My iPhone” feature in MobileMe to located his iPhone at a local Wal-Mart store,
It was only a matter of coordinating with the police authorities, and the 3 suspects were taken into custody at a nearby petrol station, and credit cards, cash, stolen ID where all recovered. However the report doesn’t say whether the victim’s iPhone was recovered, but does go to show it is getting harder for criminals to simply walk off with your iPhone.
