It has been confirmed that the Apple event will be held next Wednesday September 9th in San Francisco starting at 10am.

The event will be a music focused affair based on the image of the iPod and including the tag line ’it’s only rock n roll, but we like it’. Apple have released a new product introduction of its iPods each September for the last few years.

It is presumed that Apple will also be mentioning the new interactive album format known as Cocktail next Wednesday. Apples traditional choice of day for events is usually a Tuesday however as this is a Wednesday it’s possible that there could be an announcement regarding a Beatles catalog coming to iTunes.
