Its taken a while but now finally what we’ve all been anticipating has finally happenned. We have the first semi official word that HTC’s Hero is in fact becoming the now network.

Sprints own developer site had a statement which announces the HTC Hero which will be the first Android device running on the Sprint Network. The post also informs readers that the developer program by Sprint will engage an Android development section by the end of September. There is also a direct link to begin the download of the 1.5SDK straight away.
