Canada’s BlackBerry Smartphone maker, Research In Motion has now confirmed that Gregory Shea, RIM Asia Pacific VP of Government Affaires, has now taken up the additional position of China region president reports jlmpacificepoch.

The famous BlackBerry smartphone maker has also stated they have recently established a China subsidiary, with RIM China being headquartered in Beijing with offices in Guangzhou and Shanghai.

It was revealed back in June by unnamed sources that Research In Motion was in talks with China Telecom with a view to delivering BlackBerry smartphones along with a China mobile email service.
