The Android platform and the iPhone platforms have both gained the Spotify mobile application, and Spotify is expected to launch their app on the Symbian S60 platform soon as well, and this led itproportal to speculate the question, just how much does Spotify make.

Apparently according to the BBC, Spotify has 8 million users across Europe but only 2% of these are premium members, so roughly 160,000. If you work on best case scenarios, Spotify could well be dragging in a cool £19 million per year.

On the other hand if all those 160,000 have single day passes the figure would be more like £160,000, and as Spotify hasn’t disclosed any revenue figures it is difficult to actually come up with a plausible answer.
