Apparently during the Apple Event 2009, iTunes has now launched iTunes LP which is the rumoured “Cocktail” album format from Apple reports the iphone blog.

According to Apple the visual experience of the record album returns with iTunes LP. There are deluxe albums in iTunes 9 which are part of iTunes LP and pack in extra material such as additional recordings, art, lyrics, line notes, and videos.

iTunes LP’s are full album downloads that include all album tracks and all those extras, which is obviously much easier than just downloading single tracks.
