This year, LG plans on selling 120 million mobile phones which is up 20% from 2008. The head of LG’s mobile business, Ahn Seung-kwon has stated that although the economic downturn has cut growth potential, the revised target of 120 million is achievable, reports the Korea Times.

During the first half of 2009, LG has sold 52.4 million mobile phones, 22.6 million in Q1 and 29.8 million in Q2, and in Q2 LG’s share of the global handset market reached over 10% due to robust sales states research firm Strategy Analytics.

The LG CEO has said that the 120 million target will consist of 75 million GSM mobile phones and 45 million CDMA mobile phones. So what do you think, can LG achieve the 120 million sales target?
