Opera Mini 5.0 beta rolls out today and has been treated to a makeover, along with touch support on devices which accept touch input, and multi-page browsing reports the Register.
Basically underneath it is still the Opera 4.0 Mini engine but has been given some tweaks. Key shortcuts have been retained while reproducing screens and bookmarks now appear in a pull-down menu.
Opera Mini 5.0 now gets its desktop browser’s Speed Dial, and the address and search bar are now integrated into the page view much the same as Safari and Opera Mini 5.0 is only a 220kb download.
