It’s a little late as the official HTC Hero firmware update had been out for just over a week for those not with T-Mobile or Orange in the UK, but finally HTC has released a new ROM update for the Orange HTC Hero in the UK reports pocket-lint.

The Orange UK website doesn’t seem to have the new update available however HTC does have an Orange specific update on their support pages.

Although it still looks like T-Mobile is dragging their heels over this G2 update and still hasn’t made it available, saying they will release the update once it is ready as it is currently being tested.
