Boston Acoustics has designed a new flagship iPod and iPhone Dock named the i-DS3 and is a 2 piece system in an attractive form factor of high gloss cabinets and perforated metal grille, states an article over on big picture big sound.

The i-DS3 soundbar sports dual 3 ½ inch subwoofers and dual ½ inch tweeters and the freestanding subwoofer connects through the i-DS3’s built in 2.4GHz wireless transmitter.

The i-DS3 sub uses a frequency of 35-150Hz and iPods can charge whilst connected while an iPhone can still receive calls whilst in the dock. There is also a mini remote and S-video output, and is available in white or black commanding a retail price of $499.99
