Deutsche Telekom approach Clearwire for airwave access

Apparently Deutsche Telekom is in talks with Clearwire Corp and MetroPCS Communications, to gain access to their airwaves reports Bloomberg.

Deutsche Telekom is searching for the most cost effective way to construct nationwide networks. Sprint Nextel also is involved with the talks as they own 51% of Clearwire stated a source who wished to go unnamed due to the talks being preliminary.

Clearwire has previously stated they require $2 billion by the end of the year to complete their own network expansion and Deutsche Telekom could well provide funding in return for access.
