Vertu now officially sells clamshell form factor mobile phones as the first Vertu clamshell is the Vertu Constellation F Ayxta and is constructed in the usual expensive material such as sapphire crystal, stainless steel, leather, ceramic and aluminium confirms sybarites.

The Vertu Constellation F Ayxta sports 3G, GPS, external touch screen, 3 megapixel camera with dual LED flash, microSD expansion, exclusive ringtones from UK based band Zero 7, and City Brief which is a feature that delivers the latest exhibitions, restaurant recommendations, shopping guides and the like.

The Vertu Constellation F Ayxta will command a price tag of between €4,900 and €6,500 which is about $7,198 to $9,548, no word on availability yet though.
