Cricket Communications has announced a new mobile phone which they are saying is a low cost “camera phone” and is called the Cricket CAPTR.

According to Intomobile there is a problem with the “camera phone” description as the Cricket CAPTR features a very basic VGA camera along with zoom capability while offering voice dialling, Cricket services such as Mobile Web, Chricket MyHomeScreen, Cricket apps and games, and Bluetooth.

The 3.54 x 1.81 x 0.74 flip form factor Cricket CAPTR does seem to be quite expensive considering what it offers and carries a price tag of some $129.99.
