The TomTom Car Kit for iPhone went up for pre-order in Europe and was quickly pulled down again, and now TomTom has put out a release revealing the price of the TomTom Car Kit for iPhone to allay any rumours reports gpstracklog.

The brief release stated that the TomTom Car Kit for the iPhone will have a recommended retail price of EUR 99.99 and USD 119.95 and that it will be sold separately to the TomTom app, is compatible with the iPhone 2G, iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS, and will be available this October.

So needing both TomTom Car Kit and TomTom app you’ll be forking out some $219.95, which isn’t that great a deal really, but no doubt certain e-tailers will discount the TomTom Car Kit for iPhone, as the pricing is only RRP.
